On January 1st 2011 bitcoin was worth just $0.29, for less than $100 you could have purchased 339 bitcoins. Today those 339 bitcoins would be worth over $1,098,000 and while 0.01% of the worlds population enjoys the benefits of bitcoin 99.9% of people don’t know it exists.
Being part of the bitcoin community today is like being part of the internet in 1996. Businesses across the world currently pay fees of between 1-3% to Visa, Mastercard and American Express for every transaction they process. Once they realize they can switch to bitcoin and pay a fraction of the cost with increased security and accountability demand for bitcoin will continue to skyrocket. The question isn’t if bitcoin will become the world largest currency but when. How much longer are you willing to wait?
